Cas Xsolo
Sayyid Amin Cox aka Cas XSoLo (the X being silent) is a 29 year old Hip Hop Artist from Newark, New Jersey. This 90’s Millennial Baby was raised in the thickness of Hip Hop and it’s influential rise to power that most said would not last. Cas recalls at 6 years old, his first encounter with rap. While sitting in the backseat of his step fathers car, he heard the rapper Nas come on the radio. That, was the moment the right hemisphere of his brain exploded leaving a permanent mental stamp. By middle school, Cas was taking Hip Hop seriously and looked to his older cousin JuiCe9730 who was already a local hit to record him in his Home Studio. It didn’t take much convincing as JuiCe9730 had already begun to notice his cousin’s budding potential.
CAS would soon combine both crafty lyrics and catchy hooks as he matured in his talented gifts. Fast forward to the 2000’s: Cas released 1 Ep, and 3 mixtapes under DTA a group his cousin JuiCe9730 formed and 2 Eps and 1 album while with Rebel Noize Entertainment, a collective he formed with friends. In 2019, Cas would see inspiring momentum with the release of his gritty debut independent album “Too Late For Apologies”.
Cas XSoLo is heavily influenced by artist such as Nas, Lupe Fiasco, J.Cole, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and many others. He’s currently collaborating with various artists as well as working on his next EP set to be released in 2023.
